Judith Liu is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Oklahoma. She received her Ph.D. from Syracuse University and previously worked at the University of Melbourne as a Research Fellow.
Dr. Liu’s research interests are in health economics, public economics, and labor economics. She has studied the effects of healthcare regulations on the labor supply of the medical workforce, along with the impacts of public and private health insurance policies on insurance coverage, health care utilization, and health care costs among senior adults. She has also examined the role of safety net programs in the U.S. on racial and ethnic inequality, as well as immigrant populations.
