Sebastian Kube is currently Professor for Behavioral and Experimental Economics at the University of Bonn, Germany. He is also a senior research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods, affiliated researcher at the Center for Economics and Neuroscience (CENs) and Vice Director of the BonnEconLab.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Karlsruhe in January 2007. He cooperates with researchers from IZA in Bonn, Florida State University, University of Jerusalem, University of Nottingham, University of Zurich and ZEW in Mannheim.

His recent research interests cover the importance of interdependent (other-regarding) preferences for economic behavior. In general, he is using field and laboratory experiments to explore corresponding research questions from the areas of personnel and labor economics, public economics and law.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2008.
