Briggs Depew is an Associate Professor at Utah State University. Before he was at Louisiana State University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Arizona in 2013.

His research has focused on policy-oriented microeconomic topics. His interests include health economics, the economics of crime, and labor economics. His research has been published in the Journal of Health Economics.

Briggs joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2015.
