Francesca Calamunci

Francesca Calamunci is a Junior Assistant Professor in Economics at Sapienza University of Rome. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Messina in November 2019. Following her doctoral studies, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Catania until March 2022, with a visiting period at BAFFI CAREFIN - Clean Unit (Bocconi University). From April 2022 until November 2022 she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome.
Francesca has also been recognized Fulbright-Falcone-NIAF Scholar 2017-2018 and she worked as a consultant for the World Bank.
Her research interests primarily focus on applied microeconometrics within the fields of labor economics, organized crime, crime, and political economy.
