Dr. Charlene M. Kalenkoski, CFP(R) is Department Head and Professor of Economics at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA U.S.A. She also is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning and a Board Member of the Society of Economics of the Household. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University in 2002. In her research she has examined time-diary data from the U.S., the U.K., and Australia to examine individuals' time-use decisions. Her current research focuses on both adolescents' and faculty members' time use and well-being.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 2009.
