Dr. Matthias Collischon studied Social Economics (B.A. and M.Sc.) at the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) from 2011 to 2016. Subsequently, he completed a doctoral program at the Chair of Statistics and Empirical Economics there from 2016 to 2020. Since November 2020, he has been a research fellow in the ”Panel Labour Market and Social Security“ research unit at the IAB.
His research interests include gender differences in the labour market, the determinants of job and life satisfaction, and quantitative, empirical methods. He has published in journals such as the Journal of Human Resources, Social Forces, Sociological Science and the European Sociological Review.

Matthias Collischon joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
