Davud Rostam-Afschar is Associate Professor at University of Mannheim and Academic Director of the German Business Panel.
His research focusses on labor and industrial economics, health and public economics. He contributes to the analysis of the regulation of occupations and firm and household decision making, particularly on the labor market. He regularly advises the European Commission and the OECD on these topics.
Before working at Mannheim, he taught and did research at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim and has been visiting scholar at UC Berkeley. He worked as a research associate at Freie Universität Berlin and at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin).
