Leonor Modesto is Full Professor of Economics at the Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. She received her primary degree in Economics from Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics in 1980 and her Ph.D. from the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, in 1987. She was President of the Association of Southern European Economic Theorists (ASSET) from 2009 to 20011. Her current research interests cover labor economics (education, labor market dynamics, trade unions, employment policies, and labor market failures in general), endogenous fluctuations and industrial organization. She has published in the Journal of Economic Theory, Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Mathematical Social Sciences, Labor Economics, Labour, Journal of Population Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Economic Modelling, Environmental and Resource Economics, International Review of Applied Economics, International Journal of Production Economics and Economia.
Leonor Modesto became a Research Fellow of IZA in October 1999.
