Ludovica Gazze is an environmental and health economist researching policy-relevant issues.

Conserving resources and reducing pollution are among the most pressing challenges facing society. Designing programs to achieve these goals requires an understanding of 1) pollution damages and 2) individuals' and firms' compliance behavior. She investigates these issues using large administrative datasets and experimental and quasi-experimental methods. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick, an invited researcher at JPAL for the K-CAI and North America programs, and an IZA Research Fellow. Prior to joining the University of Warwick, she was a
postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago Energy and Environment Lab. She obtained her PhD in Economics at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ludovica Gazze joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2023.
