Benjamin Lochner is a senior researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and a post-doctoral researcher at the Chair of Macroeconomics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg.

He received his doctoral degree from the joint graduate program of the the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the IAB. His main research interests cover the fields of labor economics, macroeconomics, and labor-finance. He studies individual heterogeneity, allocation mechanisms with search frictions as well as macroeconomic dynamics.

Benjamin Lochner joined IZA as a Research Fellow in April 2023.
