Silvia Mendolia is a Associate Professor in Economics (from 1/10/2024) at the Department of Economics, Social Studies and Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Turin. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and a Master of Science (Distinction) in Economics from the University College of London (UCL).

Before joining the University of Turin in 2021, Silvia worked at the University of Wollongong, the University of Aberdeen (Department of Economics and Health Economics Research Unit), and at the Social Policy Research Centre (UNSW).

Silvia’s research interests are in the fields of: Health Economics, Economics of Education, Labour Economics, and Applied Microeconometrics. She joined IZA as Research Fellow in August 2014.
