Ada Ferrer-i-Carbonell

Ada Ferrer-i-Carbonell works at the Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC) in Barcelona with an ICREA fellowship. In 2002 and 2003 Ada received her two PhD’s in economics, one at the Tinbergen Institute (University of Amsterdam) and another one at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY). Previously she had obtained a first degree in Economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. After her PhD, Ada held various positions at the University of Amsterdam, including a VENI fellowship from the Dutch National Science Foundation. Ada´s current interests are on welfare (through subjective well-being measures) analysis, health, income, and risk attitudes. Among others she has published in the Economic Journal, Health Economics, and the Journal of Public Economics.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in June 2009.
