Bert van Landeghem

Bert Van Landeghem has been working as a research fellow at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University since April 2010. He has been appointed as a research fellow at the freshly launched Institute for Economic Analysis of Decision-Making (INSTEAD) at the University of Sheffield for the period of 1 October 2013 to 30 September 2016, and will remain affiliated with ROA during this period.

Bert obtained his Ph.D. in November 2010 from the University of Leuven (Belgium), and has been a visiting researcher at Warwick University.
His main research areas include economics and well-being, labour economics, applied microeconometrics and development economics. Apart from academic research, Bert has also been involved in policy research such as for the OECD and the Flemish Ministry of Labour, and one of his medium-term targets is to create spillovers between policy research and academic research.

Bert joined IZA as a research fellow in July 2013.
