Alastair Ball is a Lecturer in Economics at Birkbeck, University of London.
He received his PhD in economics at the European University Institute in 2016. Alastair has worked on topics in health, labour market performance, migration and the origins of inequality. His current research focuses on the health and labour market costs of exposure to pollution, with a particular focus on the long-run and persistant effects of early exposure to pollution.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in November 2016.
