Dita Eckardt received her PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2020. Prior to that, she obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Economics from the LSE. She joined the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick as an Assistant Professor in 2021, after spending 2020/21 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London.

Her work focuses on studying the specificity of human capital with the goal of providing insights into the skills that workers require to carry out the tasks demanded across different occupations. In a second strand of her research, she works on methodological advances in applied econometrics to improve the estimation of models frequently used in labor economics, and applied microeconomics more generally.
Dita Eckardt joined IZA as a Resarch Affiliate in April 2020.
