Damián Vergara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. In the 2023-2024 academic year, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Industrial Relations Section at Princeton University. Damián obtained a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from the Universidad de Chile and a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley. Damián is a Public and Labor economist. His research interests relate to questions of inequality, policy design, taxation, and labor market institutions. Damián Vergara joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2023.
