Barry McCormick is Director of the Centre for Health Service Economics and Organisation at the University of Oxford. He was previously Chief Economist in the British Department of Health and Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton.
His research interests include labor economics, unemployment, migration, training, labour market policy, and regional economics. He has published widely in such journals as the European Economic Review, Economic Journal, Scottish Journal of Political Economy, Economic Review, and Journal of Public Economics.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in December 2000.
