Julie Chytilová is an Associate Professor at Charles University and a researcher at the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Her main research interests are behavioral economics, experimental economics, and development economics. She investigates potential determinants of pro-social and anti-social behavior and focuses on the issues of discrimination and the sources and consequences of conflicts. To shed light on these questions, she uses economic experiments and data collected among relevant samples of the population in the field, e.g., in Kenya, Uganda, Sierra Leone, India, Slovakia, and Czechia.
