Andrei A. Levchenko

Andrei A. Levchenko is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan, where he has taught since 2008. He is Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. Before coming to Michigan, he was an Economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004. Prof. Levchenko’s research focuses on the interactions between globalization, economic development, and macroeconomics.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2014.
