Boyd Hunter is Senior Fellow at the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research, Research School of Social Sciences, The Australian National University in Canberra Australia where he has worked for the last 18 years. In addition to his extensive engagement with Labour economics he has considerable expertise in a range of Social Sciences fields: Criminology, Econometrics, Economic History, Geography, Poverty analysis, Survey Design and Analysis, and of course, Indigenous Economic Policy. He is currently on the Scientific Reference Group for the National Indigenous Clearinghouse (AIHW/AIFS), and has been the Managing Editor of the Australian Journal of Labour Economics since 2008. His contribution to the literature is reflected in over 115 peer reviewed publications, many of which are in highly ranked journals. At last count, he had over 2000 scholarly citations.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2013.
