Leif Danziger is Professor of Economics at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He received his M.A. in Economics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1974, and his Ph.D. in Economics at Yale University in 1978.

His current research interests include the minimum wage, labor contracts, unemployment benefits, macroeconomic implications of adjustment costs, and investment theory.

Leif Danziger has published in the American Economic Review, European Economic Review, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Population Economics, Labour Economics, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and other journals.

Among others, he has received grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. He is a research fellow in CESifo and joined IZA as a research fellow in June 2000.
