Stephanie Majerowicz Nieto received her PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University, with a BA in Political Science and Economics from Stanford University.
Her research focuses on how to improve educational quality in Latin America and how to strengthen local governments to improve the provision of public goods and services. She has collaborated with the Ministries of Education of Peru and Colombia to design and implement experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations of different government programs.
She worked as a researcher at the Center for Global Development (CGD), researching royalty management, international cooperation financing, and private investment in Africa.
As a former briq Affiliate, she continues to collaborate with the behavioral economics team at IZA as an Associated Member.
