Markus Antony studied Economics at the University of Bonn (Diploma). His professional career takes place at the intersection of science and administration. From 2009, he supported the establishment of the newly founded interdisciplinary Center for Economics and Neuroscience (CENs) and took on a key role at the university institute. With the spin-off of the Behavioral Economics branch of IZA into the independent briq Institute on Behavior & Inequality in 2016, he joined briq. Here, he initially worked as a Science Manager and since 2020, following the completion of his doctorate, as Head of Scientific Management. After the merger of briq and IZA, he will be responsible for the integration and further development of research activities at IZA starting in 2024.
