Cem Özgüzel is an Economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and a Research Affiliate at the Paris School of Economics International Migration Economics Chair, Institut Convergences Migrations and Sorbonne Economics Center. He obtained my PhD in Economics from Paris School of Economics.

He is an applied economist with research interests focused on international migration, labour markets and regional economics. In his work, he uses large administrative micro-data and employ various econometric methods to provide novel and causal evidence on policy-relevant issues.

Before joining the OECD, he worked as a Teaching and Research Fellow at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). He was a visiting scholar at Harvard University and German Institute for Employment Research.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2023.
