Teresa Backhaus is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Applied Microeconomics (IAME) at the University of Bonn, member of the CRC TR 224, and contributor to the open source project GETTSIM (GErman Taxes and Transfer SIMulator).
Her research field is Applied Microeconomics with focus on Labor Economics, Social Inequality and the Welfare State, Decision Making and Strategic Interaction and Behavioral Economics.
Currently, she is mostly interested in life-cycle employment and retirement decisions, and causes of low-income situations.
Teresa Backhaus joined IZA as a Visiting Research Affiliate in October 2021.
