Sebastián Otero is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Columbia University. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and his Ph.D. from Stanford University. Prior to joining Columbia, he spent one year as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley. His research focuses on the study of structural changes in education markets, with special emphasis on Latin America.
