Lorenzo Rocco is currently Professor of Economics at the University of Padova. He obtaind a Ph.D in economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (France) in 2005.
He is an applied economist and his fields of research include the socio-economic determinants of health, the influence of health on labor market outcomes and several aspects of the economics of education.
His researches have been published in The Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Human Capital, Health Economics and Social Science and Medicine among others. He contributed to several reports commissioned by the World bank, the World Health Organization, the OECD and The European Commission.

Lorenzo Rocco joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2019.
