Michal Bauer is a Professor at CERGE-EI and the Charles University in Prague.


His research interests are development economics, experimental economics and behavioral economics. His work focuses on conflict, (anti-)social preferences, ethnic discrimination and formation of preferences. He has conducted field experiments on related topics in Uganda, India, the Republic of Georgia, Sierra Leone, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2009.
