Jonathan Créchet is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa and a PhD graduate from the University of Montreal. His research lies in the fields of labour economics and macroeconomics.
His research has been primarily interested in (i) understanding the drivers of the cross-country variation in aggregate labour-market outcomes and (ii) analyzing the effect of institutions such as employment protection legislation with a focus on the implications of market incompleteness.
He has also collaborated on papers on the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. Lastly, Ihe is interested in analyzing individual skill dynamics and life-cycle outcomes, and the business-cycle fluctuations of the labour market.
