Elif Kubilay is an Assistant Professor at the University of Essex, UK.
She obtained her PhD at Koc University in 2016. Before joining Essex, Elif worked as a Marie Curie Fellow at Bocconi University and then as a Senior Research Officer at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER). Elif’s work is primarily focused on the Economics of Education, Behavioral
Economics, and Development Economics. Specifically, she is interested in understanding the role of non-cognitive skills in educational and labor market outcomes as well as applying this knowledge to design and evaluate interventions that inform public policy.
Elif Kubilay joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2023.
