Umut Oguzoglu is a Professor of Economics at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He obtained his doctoral degree from University of Guelph, and has worked as a Research Fellow in the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economics and Social Research, University of Melbourne.

Umut's research fields include panel data econometrics, health economics and labour economics. His current research interests are economics of disability, evaluation of retirement reforms, social impact of gambling, STEM major choice in college, and rural physician labour supply.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2007 and became a Research Fellow in April 2010.
