Christian Bayer is a macroeconomist with interest in labor and financial economics. His research focuses on the economic analysis of financial and real frictions in shaping investment, labor and firm dynamics. In particular, he emphasizes the role of inequality in productivity and income and fluctuations there for macroeconomic outcomes.

Christian Bayer joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2017.
