Román Andrés Zárate is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. He studied economics at Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia and at MIT, where he completed my PhD in 2019. He was also a postdoctoral fellow at the briq Institute. He is also the creator of Play Together, a virtual platform to assess teamwork and collaborative problem-solving skills in educational settings. His research lies at the intersection of the economics of education, development, and organizational economics.
As a former briq Affiliate, he continues to collaborate with the behavioral economics team at IZA as an Associated Member.
