Bernd Raffelhüschen is professor for economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg and professor II at the University of Bergen. He studied economics at Kiel, Berlin and Aarhus and obtained his Ph.D. and his habilitation at the University of Kiel.
His current research interests include social policy and intergenerational analysis.
He is member in numerous international associations and published in journals such as American Economic Review, European Economic Review, Public Choice, Finanzarchiv und Nationaløkonomisk Tidskrift.
Bernd Raffelhüschen was an IZA Research Fellow from October 1999 until December 2015.
