Adam Altmejd is a researcher at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University. He uses large, and sometimes unconventional, register data sets and to study the causal mechanisms that drive socio-economic inequality. He has investigated how education is transferred between siblings and across generations, and done work on the unequal outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic. Adam received his PhD in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics in 2018.
Adam Altmejd joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
