Micole De Vera is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Stone Centre at the University College of London. He will join the Bank of Spain in September 2024 as a Research Economist. He received his PhD in Economics from CEMFI (Madrid, Spain) in June 2023.
Micole’s primary research interests lie broadly in labor economics and applied econometrics, but his work also relates to other fields such as industrial organization, economics of education, and health economics. More specifically, his work combines administrative and survey data with novel econometric tools to measure inequality and understand its sources and consequences. Currently, his interests revolve around three themes: (1) the role of firms in labor markets; (2) inequality in income risk and income risk perceptions; and (3) inequality in health and education.
Micole De Vera joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2023.
