Mette Foged is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, and Senior Researcher at the Rockwool Foundation Research Unit in Denmark.

Her research interests are Labour Economics and Applied Microeconometrics. Her work focusses on migration decisions, impacts of immigration and immigrant integration.

Mette Foged received her PhD in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 2014 and was employed as a Postdoc financed by the Independent Research Council of Denmark from summer 2014 until fall 2017. She has been a visiting scholar at UC Davis, Dartmouth College and Frisch Centre.

She joined IZA as a research fellow in September 2015.
