Suphanit Piyapromdee is an associate professor in the department of Economics at University College London.
She is also a research affiliate at the Institute of Fiscal Studies, Stone Centre, CEPR, CReAM and the Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014.
Her research interests include Labour and Development Economics. She has published papers in the Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies and other journals as well as a number of policy briefs. Her work has also been covered in the media on numerous occasions on various portals. In 2021, she was awarded an European Research Council Starting grant to study skills mismatch: sources and consequences.
Suphanit Piyapromdee joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2023.
