Martin Salm is Professor of Health Economics and Applied Microeconomics at the Department of Econometrics and Operations Research at Tilburg University. His research interests include economic incentives in the healthcare sector, regional disparities in healthcare costs, and the relationship between socioeconomic status and health. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University in 2006 and a diploma in Economics from the University of Mannheim in 2001.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2006 and became a Research Fellow in March 2009.
