Weiguo Yang, professor of labor and human resources in School of Labor and Human Resources of Renmin University of China, is currently the assistant president of Renmin University, director of China Institute for Human Capital Audit at Renmin University of China. He attained substantial experience in macro/micro labor and human resources management through working for central governments, private, state-owned, foreign companies as well as joint ventures from 1991 to 1997. After he obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2000, he started working as a researcher, and then joined Renmin University of China in 2003. His research area includes labor and human resource economics, labor and employment law economics, comparative labor and employment policy, human resource auditing, etc. Since 2000, he has been conducting research and providing consulting for public sectors including central and local governments, different forms of companies as well as some international institutions.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2010.
