Pierre M. Picard

Pierre M. Picard has completed a Ph.D. at the Université catholique de Louvain (1998). Since 2008, he is professor at the University of Luxembourg and teaching Industrial Organization, Regional Economics and Public Economics.

Pierre M. Picard is interested in topics linking the fields of public economics, industrial organization, labor economics, urban economics and economic geography. His research included theoretical works about employment subsidies, marginal tax reforms, privatization, spatial interactions, firm agglomeration, international trade, fiscal federalism.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in April 2011.
