Daniel Graeber is a post-doctoral researcher at the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at DIW Berlin and is affiliated with the Centre for Economic Policy Analysis (CEPA).

He is a health economist, labor economist, and applied microeconomist with research interests that include the socio-economic determinants of health, with a particular focus on intergenerational relationships, as well as the economics of entrepreneurship, with emphasis on the COVID-19 pandemic and the interplay between entrepreneurship and health. Daniel Graeber is also interested in the formation of risk preferences in the wake of crises and migration economics.
He received his PhD summa cum laude from the University of Potsdam and has published in reputable journals such as Entrepreneurship, Theory & Practice and Journal of Population Economics. In 2022, he was awarded a prize honoring one of the best publications at DIW Berlin. As of May 2023, he has a citation count of 502, with an h-index of 10 and an i10-index of 11.
