Jenna Stearns

Jenna Stearns is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of California, Davis. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2017 and her B.A. from Whitman College in 2010.
Stearns’ research includes work in labor, public, gender, and health economics. Her work focuses on understanding how social policies that provide paid leave and other family-friendly benefits affect men, women, and children. She is particularly interested in how these policies can be used to reduce gender and socioeconomic inequality in the workplace and at home.

Jenna Stearns joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in February 2019.
