Morgan Raux is a Research Scientist at the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Luxembourg.
His research interests relate to Labor Economics and the Economics of Migration. His research focuses on recruitment issues with a micro applied perspective. One key aspect of his research investigates the relationship between labor shortages and the recruitment of foreign workers. Morgan combines big online and administrative datasets with machine learning techniques and causal methods to document the different dimensions of this phenomenon. In 2022, he has received a CORE research Grant from the Luxembourg National Research Fund for the study of the consequences of recruitment difficulties on workers and firms. Morgan holds a Bachelor in Economics and Political Sciences from Paris 1 University, a Master in Economics and Big Data from Aix-Marseille University and he obtained his PhD at Aix-Marseille School of Economics in 2020.
Morgan Raux joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
