Lukas Mayr is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Economics Department of the University of Essex.
He obtained his PhD at the European University Institute in Florence in 2018. His main research interests lie in the areas of Macro-,
Public- and Labour Economics. His research focuses on aggregate and distributional consequences of fiscal policy and
particularly on the optimal design of tax-transfer systems.
Lukas Mayr joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2023.
