Hanna M. Schwank is an assistant professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Bonn. Her main research fields are labor economics and economic history, with a particular focus on how individuals react and adjust to major economic shocks, the determinants of and returns to domestic migration, and the role of women in the labor market.
Hanna graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University in 2022. She holds a B.Sc. in Econonomics and an M.Sc. in Public Economics from Free University Berlin.
Hanna Schwank joined the IZA network as a Research Affiliate in May 2023. She also collaborates closely with IZA's local research team as an Associated Member.
